We Don’t Waste is a leader of the movement to reduce food waste in Denver, and volunteer support is what helps us distribute millions of free meals to our community and expand our reach and operations. We are always looking for extra assistance with efforts such as our Mobile Food Market, food recovery initiatives, and fundraising.
Our volunteer shifts at our Mobile Food Markets are a great way to get involved! You can support the market check-in process, replenish the food supply, and help market participants collect food.

Volunteer-led Food Recovery
Join We Don’t Waste in our mission to end food insecurity and prevent food waste through our volunteer-led food recovery app: We Rescue, powered by Food Rescue Hero!
Choose when you want to volunteer, claim a food rescue from a local business, and deliver it to one of We Don’t Waste’s nonprofit partners fighting food insecurity in Denver and Boulder county. In as little as 30 minutes of your time, you can support food access for your neighbors. You’ll see the impact of food recovery and distribution firsthand!
Corporate and group volunteering
Every business can reap huge rewards by connecting employees to opportunities to engage with and improve their community.
